Our 2017 Fall Gathering in NORCAL, originally planned for 15 October, has been rescheduled for 10 December (1:00-3:30 PM).  The venue has been changed from Golden Gate Park to the Presidio Branch of the San Franscisco Public Library located at 3150 Sacramento Street (between Lyon and Baker). 


Christopher Pollock, Golden Gate Park Historian, will give a presentation entitled The Plants and Animals of Golden Gate Park and Their Relationship to Those Described by Lewis and Clark.  Refreshments and a social will follow Mr. Pollock’s presentation.

Spring Gathering

Our 2017 Spring Gathering will feature two presentations, one on the life of Jean Baptiste “Pomp” Charbonneau and the other on the Southern Emigrant Trail into California.

Steve Lee, the immediate past president of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, will present “From the Lewis and Clark Expedition to the Mormon Battalion – The amazing life of Jean Baptiste Charbonneau”. 

Phil Brigandi, a prominent archivist and local historian, will be discussing the “Forgotten Pathway - The Southern Emigrant Trail into California.”	  

Both presentations are free to the public.
